Long Beach Auto body is a 10,000 square foot facility with a dedicated space for our state of the art enclosed spray paint booth. Paint is a flammable and combustible liquid and is highly regulated due to the high risk of fire. The enclosed booth is a power-ventilated structure provided to accommodate and spraying operation to confine and limit the escape of spray vapor and residue and to safely conduct or direct them to an exhaust system. A booth also prevents overspray onto other vehicles because only one vehicle can be in the booth at one time thus preventing this from happening. Cars that are painted in an open space can distribute overspray to other nearby objects. Being inside a ventilated booth also minimizes the distribution of dust and other materials getting stuck onto the paint along with environmental concerns. The safety of our technicians and staffs are also a top safety here. Vehicles are also “baked” inside the spray booth after it is painted. It will also stay inside the booth during the drying process. We only use PPG Paint for their superior color match, excellent smooth appearance, and lifetime guarantee.

By implementing these steps, Long Beach Auto Body can turn a vehicle around at a faster time. We eliminate the time need to clean up overspray or spend more time trying to match the color/blend. We can get our customers cars back on the road quicker thus reducing the rental car cost to the insurance company and/or customers.

In order for Long Beach Auto Body to even have an enclosed spray booth we have to pass the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) criteria’s for design, construction, and safety of the spray booth in our facility. We also have to file permits with the Department of Environment Conservation (DEC) to use these paint products. Please feel free to ask us for a tour of our facility.
